House hunting has got me daydreaming about living the DIY life. A fireplace in the living room is a must on both mine and my husband's house checklist. Luckily it seems to be a common addition here in the south. They've been in every one we've toured.
At first I was all about painting the brick white for a nice farmhouse fireplace makeover. Now, thanks to my Pinterest addiction, I'm torn! I think German Shmear could be a nice rustic look. Shiplap really adds a simplistic vibe, but full on bold colors are also pretty charming!
