Your “Someday” List

We all have a list — the trip we’ll take, the book we’ll write, the skill we’ll learn…someday.

It’s comforting to think those dreams are waiting for us.

But here’s the problem with “someday”: it’s always one day further away.

Years ago, I wrote “work in country music” on my “someday” list. It stayed there, quietly gathering dust, while I told myself it was too risky. Too big of a move.

Until one day, I realized the only thing between me and that dream was the first step.

So I packed up my life and moved to Nashville for 4 amazing years. In those 4 years, I coordinated dozens of concerts, attended an album release party in NYC, went to the CMA awards and helped launch strategies for artist’s tours and album releases.

I have zero regrets about my time in Nashville, but I absolutely would’ve regretted not making that move.

Moving to Nashville was a HUGE change, but your “someday” items don’t have to overhaul your life.

Start here:

  • Write down 10 “someday” items.

  • Choose one and break it into small, doable steps.

  • Do the very first step this week.

Life is too short to keep your dreams locked in the “later” drawer.

Many of the women in my stories wrestle with their own “someday” dreams — and you’ll get to see what happens when they finally decide to go after them. Their journeys might just give you the push you need to start crossing off your own list.
